Blade Spire Interactive Comic

Blade Spire is an interactive, 3D digital comic designed to introduce new interactive elements into the world of digital comics leveraging 3D assets as well as the power of the Unreal Engine to create a unique and innovative experience to push storytelling for users. The Unreal Engine presented a multitude of advantages over the traditional method of creating digital comics because of the evident efficiency of creating panels via the camera systems, the ability to effortlessly adjust the visuals of the comic through the comic book shader, and the ability to move objects and lighting to adjust the composition of each panel. The Blade Spire comic also demonstrates the innovative possibilities of utilizing 3D engines for comic development in the digital comic book space as they provide many benefits such as speed of development, easy adjustments, and the ability to maintain the identity of comics using blueprints or programming tools.
